A Roller Coaster[1] appears as an object in Super Mario Sunshine. They are Koopa-shaped rollercoaster cars found in Pinna Park. Their track extends a great distance across the park, with water rockets placed at regular intervals. Mario cannot board the cars normally, so he must speak to the operator to get on.
The Roller Coaster is prominently featured in Episode 1: Mecha-Bowser Appears! and Episode 8: Roller Coaster Balloons; during the former episode, Mario must ride the Roller Coaster to pick up the water rockets and fire them at Mecha-Bowser to damage him. In the latter episode, Mario needs to pop all twenty balloons scattered around the track with water rockets while riding the Roller Coaster before it completes three laps.
